Jim Berry is a professional Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce CEO. Mr. Berry has operated organizations with up to 24 employees and over 1,000 members.
He is a CEcD, certified by the International Economic Development Council and a CCE, certified by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association.
He has served on the National Board of Regents for the Institutes for Organization Management and on the boards of the Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico Chamber Executive Associations. He has been president of those associations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico. He served on the Advisory Board of the College of Arts and Sciences, New Mexico State University. He served on the Texas Economic Development Council Board of Directors and was Vice President of the Economic Developers of Arkansas.
He served as President and CEO of the Chambers in Paragould, Russellville and Pine Bluff Arkansas, Roswell and Las Cruces, New Mexico, Abilene, Texas and Ruston, Louisiana and the NAS Chase Field Redevelopment Authority in Beeville, Texas
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Marketing major from the University of Arkansas.
He has completed the National Chamber Institute Program at SMU, the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma, the Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, NC and has taught in the US Chamber Institute program.
He and his wife Jan have lived in Holly Lake Ranch since 2016.
